So, my reasons to be cheerful:
1. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I feel very fortunate that everything has worked out for us over the last year and that we were able to enjoy the festivities in Wales. Everything is now done. We have no massive tasks on the to-do list, everything is where and as it should be. For however long this may last, I will be grateful.
2. I have the week off work, in fact I have been off work since December 16th and don't return until next Tuesday. I am cheerful as I have been able to spend lots of time with the children, the OH, family and friends. It's meant I finally think I'm on top of the housework, I don't feel rundown and I don't feel like I'm compromising anything, I am only one side of my life, and it is the side I most love.
3. I think I am starting the year on an organised footing. The office has been tidied, work emails are at a bearable limit, plans are in place for getting things done at work. Things are working out with Seren and pre-school and my mum supporting us with the children. OH birthday and twins birthday next week, hopefully in hand. And, commitment to the blog started well. These things mean less stress and more cheer.
So, I hope, more than anything, that this year will continue with lots of reasons to be cheerful.
